Min Zhu obtained her B.A. in Modern Chinese Literature and Language Pedagogy from the Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). Her B.A. thesis in literary creation and contention featuring May Fourth leftist intellectuals and Chinese New Humanists received “Distinguished Paper” from SISU. Her current research interests include modern Chinese language, Chinese modernity as represented in literature, and literary societies of the Republican era of 1912-1949. She is also particularly interested in the inherent correlation of the New Sensationalists (xin ganjue pai) with their Japanese predecessors, known as the Shinkankakuha.
