We are gathering on Friday Jan. 10t h from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at UBC to commemorate the loved ones who lost their l ives in the tragic 752 Flight crash in Iran.

We will start a candleli ght vigil from 4:30 p.m. at UBC Martha Piper Plaza (the Fountain) on UBC Un iversity Blvd. and will then head to the Nest’s Main Atrium at 6 p.m.

The event is a student-initiative sponsored by UBC Graduate Student Societ y\, UBC Persian Club\, Karvan\, Thaqalayn Muslim Association and Zoroastria n Student Association. This event will be held in an inclusive atmosphere a nd we welcome all students from all backgrounds to join us in solidarity.

ما قصد داریم در روز جمعه، دهم ژانویه، از ساعت ۴:۳۰ تا ۸ بعد از ظهر، در دانش گاه بریتیش کلمبیا در کنار هم جمع شویم تا یاد و خاطره‌ی عزیزانی که در پرواز 752 از کنار ما پر کشیدند را گرامی داریم.

در آغاز، به یاد این عزیزان ا ز ساعت ۴:۳۰ در Martha Piper Plaza شمعی بر می‌افروزیم و در ساعت ۶ بعد از ظهر ، در طبقه ی اول Nest (ساختمان اتحادیه دانشجویی) برای همبستگی در کنار هم جمع می‌شویم.

این رخداد، توسط دانشجویان دانشگاه بریتیش کلمبیا و حمایت های بی دریغ و مهربانانه جامعه دانشجویان تحصیلات تکمیلی، انجمن دانشجویی ایرانیا ن، انجمن دانشجویی کاروان، انجمن مسلمانان ثقلین و انجمن دانشجویی زرتشتیان یو بی سی سازماندهی شده است.

از آنجا که قصد ما ابراز همبستگی و همدردی ست ، سعی بر این است که محیطی دوستانه و آرامش بخش فراهم کنیم که همه‌ی دوستان، د ر هر مقطع تحصیلی، از یو بی سی یا از هر دانشگاه دیگری، فارسی‌زبان یا غیر فار سی‌زبان، با هر پیشینه فکری و با هر ترجیحی برای نحوه ی سوگواری، در کنار هم ح ضور پیدا کنند.

با توجه به شرایط ناپایدار آب و هوایی، به شرکت کنندگان پیشنهاد می‌شود که لباس مناسب آب و هوای سرد و بارانی بپوشند.
