 p><p>این سخنرانی به بررسی اصول فلسفی دین زرتشت، دین باستانی ایران و یکی از 
 قدیمی‌ترین دین‌های توحیدی جهان می‌پردازد.</p></div><p> <br />This lecture w
 ill focus on the basic philosophical principles of Zoroastrianism\, the anc
 ient religion of Iran and one of the first and oldest monotheistic religion
 s in the world.</p><p><strong>Dr. Tooraj Khodabakhshi</strong> was born and
  raised in Tehran\, Iran. He practiced as a Dentist and as a Mobed (Zoroast
 rian Priest) in Iran\, until immigrating to Canada with his family (wife an
 d two sons) in 2006. Since immigrating to Canada\, Dr. Khodabakhshi has bee
 n working mostly in the healthcare field. He continues to practice as a Mob
 ed\, where he performs Zoroastrian rituals and gives religious lectures for
  the Zoroastrian Society of British Columbia (ZSBC).</p><p> </p><div><stron
 g>About the Alireza Ahmadian Lectures in Iranian and Persianate Studies: </
 strong>Alireza Ahmadian (1981 – 2019) was an enthusiastic researcher\, a co
 nsummate socio-political analyst\, and an opinion leader on foreign policy 
 who nurtured the virtues of diplomatic dialogue and liberal democracy. Alir
 eza was a proud and devoted UBC alumnus\, supporter of UBC’s Department of 
 Asian Studies\, and beloved member of Canadian-Iranian Community. The depar
 tment renamed this lecture series in his honour in 2019. Alireza’s friends 
 in the community have provided funding to support this series\, and this ge
 nerous gift will see these important academic and community engagement even
 ts supported through to the end of the 2025/2026 academic year. <a href="ht
