The Department of Asian Studies, University of British Columbia (Vancouver Campus), invites applications for part-time sessional lecturers for the 2021 Summer Session to teach one or more of the following courses:
- ASIA 200 (3) Cultural Foundations of East Asia
- ASIA 300 (3) Writing and Culture in East Asia
- ASIA 315 (3) Japan from Feudal to Modern State
- ASIA 351 (3) Modern Chinese Fiction in Translation
- ASIA 355 (3) History of Chinese Cinema
- ASIA 444 (3) Topics in Modern Japanese Fiction and Cultural History
- CNTO 311 (3) Basic Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers
- KORN 102 (6) Basic Korean

A minimum of an MA in a related field and teaching experience in a related field at a North American college/university level is required.

All positions are subject to availability of funds and will be governed by UBC’s “Agreement on Conditions of Appointment for Sessional Faculty Members.” The current minimum salary is $7,962 per 3-credit course.
