Dr M. Willis Monroe works on the history of astronomy and astrology in ancient cultures, principally from sources written in cuneiform from Mesopotamia.  He received his doctorate from Brown University in Assyriology in 2016.  Since then he’s been serving as the managing editor for the Database of Religious History (religiondatabase.org) in Asian Studies at UBC.

He is currently finishing up a monograph manuscript on an important group of cuneiform texts concerning astrology of the Hellenestic period (4th – 2nd centuries BCE).
