Yuqing Liu received her MA degree at National Taiwan University with a thesis on the rediscovery of Six Dynasty literature in Late Qing China. She is currently working on ghost narratives in modern and contemporary Chinese literature and cinema. She is interested in the dialectical relationship between the supernatural and modernity, the rhetoric of ghost in Socialist China, and the uncanny experience in the transitional era. She also has a broad interest in pre-modern Chinese literature and theatre, including Six Dynasty poetry, late imperial novels and dramas.
