UBC Asian Studies Hiring for Summer Work Learn Positions

Taking courses at UBC this summer and looking for a flexible job to fit into your schedule? Search no further! The Asian Studies main office is hiring for a couple of summer Work Learn positions starting May 1st, 2018.

What is Work Learn?

Work Learn is a 10-hour a week position that provides you with an opportunity to work in a professional environment while achieving your own learning goals, building a professional network, and supporting your development of professional skills.

What positions are available?

WL S18 Office Assistant

Perform daily administrative tasks, work on special projects, and provide daily general support to Asian Studies’ Staff and Faculty with the common goal of providing service to UBC students interested in the courses we offer.

WL S18 Events & Communications Assistant

Develop and implement various projects in relation to the Department’s communications and events. E.g. write our newsletters, design event promotional materials, update our websites, prepare interviews & stories, etc.

Deadline to Apply is March 25th, 2018. Students must have registered in courses in the previous term (Winter Term 2) OR be registered in summer courses (in either Summer Term 1 or 2) to be eligible to apply.
