Dr. Chris Rea will be speaking at an afternoon forum on cosmopolitanism and tradition in Taiwan, as seen through the lens of contemporary Taiwanese performative arts. The panelists will discuss the historical context underlying the sophisticated blending of ideas, cultures, and technologies in Taiwanese cinema, puppetry, theatre, and other performative arts.
