This event includes a presentation and a dialogue featuring author Balbir Madhopuri on the topic “My Caste – My Shadow: Flights of Freedom Through Literature.” Hosted by Gurinder Mann (Lecturer, UBC, Punjabi Language and Culture) and Barj Dhahan (Founder, The Dhahan Prize for Punjabi Literature), the event will take place in the Auditorium, Asian Centre at UBC on November 22.

Guest speaker

Balbir Madhopuri is the 2021 Dhahan Prize Finalist. He is a renowned author of ‘Ghadri Baba Mangu Ram’, ‘Mitti Bo/ Peye’ (‘The Earth Speaks’), ‘Chhangiya Rukh: Against the Night’ (autobiography) and more.
