Kiran Sunar, a PhD student in the Department of Asian Studies, discusses how her research on Punjabi literature responds to contemporary questions around islamophobia, homophobia, and gender-based violence. Receiving over a dozen awards and scholarships over the last four years, Sunar also shares how awards and scholarships continue to support her and her research.
