The BC “Chinese Bridge” Mandarin Singing Contest is one of the biggest annual events involving Chinese (Mandarin) programs in post secondary institutes in BC. In the 2012 event, 23 students from UBC attended and 15 of them made it to the Final out of all 44 contestants from BC post secondary institutes. In the final round of the contest, 9 students from UBC won.
First Prize (Ryan Erwin)
Second Prize (Jeffrey Pai; Jooyoung Lee & Jason Choi)
and Third Prize, as well as four special awards on pronunciation, performance costume and popularity.
