The global tour of the Cantonese drama performance “My Love” made its first stop in Vancouver after premiering in Hong Kong. The event was organized by the Federation of Alumni Associations of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (FAACUHK) and the Alumni Association of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (British Columbia), commemorating the 40th anniversary of the FAACUHK. With many CUHK alumni visiting Vancouver from around the world for the occasion, a delegation from the Alumni Affairs Office of CUHK also took the opportunity to visit the UBC campus on October 6th, 2018, hosted by CUHK alumni Dr. Rebecca Chau of the Japanese Language Program and Raymond Pai of the Cantonese Language Program. In addition to visiting the Asian Studies Department and the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre, the group also stopped by St. John’s College, where Principal Dr. Henry Yu gave a tour of the facility. For the past three years, St. John’s College have hosted exchange students from Shaw College of CUHK. The group’s visit connects students, faculty, and alumni of both schools, and will hopefully help establish ties and further collaborations in the future.
