Matthew Reichel will discuss civil society engagement efforts within the DPRK. He will largely speak from a practitioner perspective and will discuss the different types of engagement efforts, the effectiveness of such efforts and common pitfalls to these efforts in the context of how the north Korean system deals with outside groups, how the north Korean economic system functions and how risks and incentives are balanced by individual actors and organizations within the DPRK.
