The UBC Buddhism and Contemporary Society Program will be hosting a conference titled The Pure Land in Buddhist Cultures from Friday, May 31 to Saturday, June 2, 2013. They are now recruiting student volunteers who are interested in assisting with the event logistics. For their contribution, volunteers will be given full registration privileges to the conference (valued at $100) which includes lunch and dinner during the weekend. This year’s conference will be a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Pure Land Buddhism and network with scholars from around the world.
If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, please send an e-mail to bcsprogram@gmail.com with your name, program, year of study, and availability for the weekend of May 31 to June 2, 2013. You can find out more about the conference on their website athttp://pureland2013.wordpress.com/.
