Congratulations to Dr. Chris Rea for being awarded the Joseph Levenson Post-1900 Book Prize (China) by the Association for Asian Studies for his latest book, The Age of Irreverence: A New History of Laughter in China (California, 2015).
The Merlin Foundation, established by the late Audrey Sheldon, awards the prizes the English-language books that make the greatest contribution to increasing understanding of the history, culture, society, politics, or economy of China.
