The 2019 Asian Studies Careers Night was held on March 5th. 70 students and 16 alumni attended the packed event at the UBC Alumni Centre.
Our insightful panelists kicked off the night giving their best advice not only on finding a career after graduation, but on transforming the skills and experiences gained through an Asian Studies degree into powerful and marketable traits.
Dr. Ross King presented alumnus Richard N. Liu with the Alumni Builders Award, commemorating his extensive work in connecting alumni and supporting UBC and our department over the years.
During the dinner and networking session, students had the opportunity to meet with multiple alumni, ask questions, and make connections that we hope will last long after this event.
We’d like to give our most sincere thanks to all students, staff, faculty, and alumni who made this event a night to remember. Check out the full gallery of photos below!
