The Japanese Language Program held its popular movie night on November 8, returning to a tradition that had been suspended since the pandemic. The event was a success, attracting around 100 students from various levels of Japanese language courses, including Language Table participants.
Students gathered to watch a Japanese horror comedy, munching on snacks and laughing together. Both UBC Japanese language students and international Japanese students shared the experience, creating a vibrant cross-cultural atmosphere that enriched the evening. The event was a fun way to start the much-awaited midterm break.
The event highlights the program’s commitment to providing students with immersive and enjoyable experiences that combine language learning with entertainment, while also fostering a sense of community between local and international students.
