The BC “Chinese Bridge” Mandarin Singing Contest is one of the biggest annual events involving Chinese (Mandarin) programs in post secondary institutes in the BC area. In the 2014 event, 27 students from different levels of current UBC CHIN courses and previous students of CHIN courses attended and 16 of them made it to the final round. In the final round of the contest on Nov. 8 in the UBC Frederic Wood Theatre, UBC students won ten out of the twelve prizes. Thanks to the great performance of all contestants and hard work of instructors for yet another successful year.
