UBC Journal of Political Studies Open to Undergraduate Students

Submissions for the 2016 edition of the UBC Journal of Political Studies (JPS) are now open to current undergraduate students in any discipline.
The JPS is one of Canada’s premier undergraduate research journals. We are a blind peer- and faculty-reviewed journal that has been publishing the best of undergraduate political science work at UBC for 18 years. We publish articles across all subfields of political science, including but not limited to political theory, comparative politics, public policy, international relations, and Canadian studies.
The Journal is seeking high-quality papers written for upper-level UBC courses. To be competitive, papers should have received grades of 80% or higher. We welcome high-quality, relevant papers that were not written for course credit or that were written for courses outside of Political Science Students can submit up to two original, previously un-published submissions until December 23rd.
More detailed submissions information can be retrieved at our website, www.ubcjps.com, which also hosts digitized copies of the Journal that demonstrate the quality and variety of articles published in previous years.
Inquiries can be directed to Editor-in-Chief, Parmida Esmaeilpour, at editor.ubcpssa@gmail.com.
NOTE to busy students: If in doubt, just submit! If your paper meets the criteria, it has a good chance of being competitive in the peer- and faculty-review process. While we recommend incorporating edits given to you by your professor, this is by no means necessary. Trained editors will work with authors to polish their writing before publication.
Don’t miss this opportunity to get published early in your academic career!
