Shubham Arora is a PhD student in the Department of Asian Studies working under the guidance of Dr Adheesh Sathaye. His love for erotica and magico-sexual tantric practices has remained constant since his initial engagements with the discipline. His specific areas of interest include Sanskrit literature (mahākāvya), Indian Erotica (kāmaśāstra), South Asian Bhakti traditions and Tantra. Shubham received his MA from the School of Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions, Nalanda University (India) and focused on the translation and critical analysis of a tenth-century Sanskrit text (precisely, a sex-manual), Padmaśrī’s Nāgarasarvasvam.
