I received my PhD from the University of Toronto’s Department for the Study of Religion where I focused on Tibetan Buddhist auto/biographical literature. Before joining UBC, I taught at various institutions including the University of Toronto, UVic, King’s College (Western University), and St. Francis College (Brooklyn, NY). I have taught an array of undergraduate courses including survey courses (e.g., world religions, religions of Asia), tradition-specific courses (e.g. Hinduism, Buddhism), and topical courses (e.g., method and theory in the study of religion, sacred biography).
