Dr. Chung is a researcher at the Jeompiljae Research Institute at Pusan National University, South Korea. Her research focuses on premodern Korean classical narrative literature, with a specific emphasis on Yadam, a distinctive genre in Korea. Her doctoral dissertation analyzed how Classical Chinese Yadam texts were translated into Hangeul (the Korean script) and enjoyed by readers.
