Dr. Chung is a researcher at the Jeompiljae Research Institute at Pusan National University, South Korea. Her research focuses on premodern Korean classical narrative literature, with a specific emphasis on Yadam, a distinctive genre in Korea. Her doctoral dissertation analyzed how Classical Chinese Yadam texts were translated into Hangeul (the Korean script) and enjoyed by readers. Beyond premodern literature, these interests extend to modern adaptations of classical literature and their contemporary applications.
