About

Owen Stampton is a Korea Foundation post-doctoral research fellow of Korean Literature. He received his MA in modern and classical Korean literature from the Graduate School of Korean Studies at the Academy of Korean Studies, South Korea and his PhD in Korean literature at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.

His research interests include pre/modern poetry, modern drama and literary criticism.

While at UBC, he is working on his first monograph, which focuses on Sino-Korean poetry of the enlightenment era (1880s-1910).
