About
Dr. Son is a professor in the Department of History and Culture at Chosun University in South Korea. His research focuses on premodern Korean history, thought, Buddhism, and texts. Previously, he served as a researcher at the Institute for the Translation of Korean Classics, where he translated and studied classical Korean texts. Committed to interpreting Korean history and thought within their proper historical contexts, he is also interested in how modern historical perceptions of premodern Korea were formed and solidified.
