Xian’ao received her MA in Buddhist Studies from the University of Hong Kong and SOAS, University of London. Currently she is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Asian Studies, UBC. Her research interest includes the history of Chinese Buddhism, Humanistic Buddhism, and topics on Buddhism and modern society. She is now working on her dissertation project on Chinese Buddhist women in the early twentieth century. Supported by the Glorisun Global Network for Buddhist Studies.
