About
Xinxin Wu is a lecturer of Chinese language and literature in the Department of Asian Studies at UBC. She is in charge of Chinese Placement Advising.
She has taught Chinese language and literature at universities in China, the United States, and Canada. She served as an associate professor and lecturer for about 20 years at Anhui University, and taught Chinese language and literature for two years at Central Washington University.
From 2002 to present, she has taught all levels of non-heritage and heritage language courses, as well as modern Chinese literature course at UBC.
Xinxin Wu received MED from Central Washington University in the US, and studied Chinese linguistics as research fellow at East China Normal University in Shanghai. She also undertook master studies on the classical and modern Chinese language at Jinan University, Guangzhou, and studied Chinese language and literature at Anhui University.
Her major research interests and publications focus on Chinese linguistics, applied linguistics, and modern Chinese literature.
