Details:

Korea is an incredible country with an immense history, delicious food, and thriving pop culture scene. It’s no wonder it’s one of the most popular tourist destinations, and that Korean is rapidly rising as an extremely beneficial language to learn and speak. UBC Asian Studies offers Korean language courses, so whether you are a) even remotely planning to learn Korean in the future, b) already studying/speaking Korean, and wondering where it might take you in the future, or c) thinking about a student exchange to Korea, at a time when it is safe to do so again…this webinar is for you!

Join Eurie Shin (UBC Lecturer, Korean Language) and Sophie Rock (4th year International Relations student minoring in Korean Language and Culture, and recently returned from a full-year Go Global exchange to Yonsei University, South Korea) to hear all about this incredible language, what it entails, and what doors it may open for you. Bring your questions and we’ll provide the answers!

Key Takeaways:

  • Overseas exchange experience in Korea
  • Korean language courses at UBC
  • Opportunities to work and volunteer to utilize and improve your Korean language skills
  • Ways to learn Korean under the current Covid-19 pandemic
