Abigail Brewer completed her B.A. in East Asian Studies at McGill University, where she wrote her honors thesis, a translation of and critical introduction to 友麻碧‘s (Yūma Midori) かくりよの宿飯 (Inn of the Hidden World). Her research interests include Japanese and Chinese internet literature, the intersection between literature and media studies, comparative literature, and translation. She is working under the supervision of Professors Christina Yi and Renren Yang.
