Jeremy James is an M.A. student in Asian Studies at the University of British Columbia and a graduate of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at East China Normal University in Shanghai. His research interests include various aspects of traditional Chinese culture, namely literature, history, philosophy, and religion. Prior to enrolling at the University of British Columbia, he spent several months living with a monastic community at a Chinese Buddhist temple in Canada to learn about their way of life.
