About

My primary research interests lie in non-human animal history and welfare, alongside topics within Environmental Humanities such as waste studies and the climate crisis. My thesis focuses on the history of non-human animals in post-World War II Hong Kong. I received my M.Phil in Cultural Studies from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and bachelor’s degree from The University of Hong Kong, double majoring in Hong Kong Studies and Journalism.

Outside academia, I volunteer as the Research Lead for the Hong Kong Animal Law and Protection Organisation. I also regularly contribute commentaries to various media outlets on environmental issues and animal welfare.
