Hamid Rahmanian is a 2014 John Guggenheim Fellow. He is the artist behind Shahnameh: Epic of the Persian Kings, an illustrated translation of the 10th Century epic poem by Ferdowsi. Following the publication of the best selling 600-page art book, Mr. Rahmanian has continued to adapt Shahnameh into new forms: an audio-book, a pop-up book, and most recently, a shadow theatre production.
