About

I graduated from the University of Hong Kong and the Education University of Hong Kong, where I received an MA degree in Teaching Chinese as an International Language. Before coming to Canada, I taught Mandarin at Hong Kong’s international schools and led a short-term Chinese program at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.

As William Butler Yeats put it, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” Believing in this line of wisdom, I enjoy exploring innovative methods to inspire students in a dynamic world of learning. Ultimately, I hope to help people not only learn Chinese as a craft, but also appreciate it as an art.
