Meet the 2021/2022 Lecturers of the Year

Since September 2014, the Department of Asian Studies has been awarding annual prizes to two Lecturers to recognize and celebrate excellence in teaching in the Lecturer rank. Dr. Sharalyn Orbaugh, Professor and Department Head, announced this year’s two recipients.

Congratulations to Dr. Fuyubi Nakamura (中村冬日), Assistant Professor of Visual and Material Cultures of Asia, who has been awarded the 2022 Michael M. Ames Prize for her project A Future for Memory: Art and Life after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
