Drop-in Advising

Drop-in Advising is offered in-person on Tuesdays, 10am to 12pm unless otherwise specified.

Advising Appointments

Advising Appointments can be scheduled online (via Zoom) or in-person (room 607 of the Asian Centre).

Major/Minor/Honours Planning Worksheets

We have created degree planning worksheets to better help you visualize and understand the degree requirements for Asian Studies honours, majors, and minor programs.

As the APR (Academic Progress Report) on Workday may still have inconsistencies from time to time, we hope the worksheets serve as a resource for planning your Asian Studies specialization.

 

Language Placement

Placement in Language Courses
Some of the Asian language courses require students to fill out an online placement questionnaire to determine their appropriate course level.

Registration

Department Waitlists
Any course that is full will have an open waitlist. Students should sign up for the waitlist section of the course if it is full. Waitlists close the week before the term
Research Courses
All Asian Studies Majors/Honours students are required to take a maximum of 3 credits of ASIA Research courses in the second term of their 3rd year or later.
